Prevent Child Abuse Lake County is a not for profit organization linked to Prevent Child Abuse Indiana by charter agreement.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to prevent child neglect and abuse through education, increased awareness and advocacy.

WHAT WE DO

• Shaken Baby Presentations to school classes and parent groups

• Sponsoring four (4) billboards each month with prevention messages

• Compiling and printing a Parent Resource Guide

• Presenting materials at community gatherings

• Assembling and distributing Hospital Packets in English and Spanish to one local hospital
and providing packets to at risk parents in another area hospital

• Co-sponsoring April Child Abuse Prevention Forums at IUN

• Encouraging churches via e-mail to join the Faith Initiative for preventing child abuse

• Sponsoring a 'Chairish the Children' chair decorating contest for Lake County middle schools
and high schools for April Child Abuse Prevention Month
